About the Directory
Thank you for using our directory. We hope you find the directory easy to use.
You can use it in the following ways:
- The main page of the directory shows all the different services.
- You can also click on the various different categories – such as Accreditation or Application Assistance. This will help you filter the services that directly support with these elements.
If you want further support email us at: employability.support@orkney.gov.uk
Our objective is to:
- Make clear what each help service does and how you can contact them.
- Show you all the different ways you can get help, like finding a job or getting work experience.
- Help the people who run these services understand and share information better.
- Use easy words and clear information so everyone can understand.
The directory has been created by the JEDI Council, a group who access many services within this directory. This group meet regularly, and previous projects have included the Employability Hub design and opening at the end.
About Orkney Employability Partnership (OLEP)
Orkney Employability Partnership is a collaboration across partners to deliver a more streamlined employability provision locally.
We recognise that supporting people, especially those who are most vulnerable, into fair and sustainable employment is central to delivering many of the ambitions for an inclusive, sustainable economy with wellbeing at its core.
We are building on the strengths of existing national and local services, to better align funding and to improve the integration of employability services across the full range of services. This is to ensure that our services are designed and delivered around the needs and aspirations of the people who are at the heart of our service – you.
